The invite reads: Connect more
people to the world’s information and each other, and they can do great
things. Introducing the next smartphone from Motorola to make these
connections happen. Made to last. Priced for all.
The phone is said to be available in three different variants
- XT1021 (single-SIM), XT1022 (dual-SIM) and XT1025 (dual-SIM with
digital TV) – though Indian is likely to get the XT1022 dual-SIM
variant. There is no official word about its India launch but sources
tell BGR India that it could happen in May itself.
The Moto G has been incredibly successful for Motorola in India with
estimates hinting at 250,000 units sold within the first month. Sources
tell BGR India that Flipkart continues to sell more than 5,000
units of the device daily, hinting at a run rate of over 150,000 units a
month. (Here’s our Moto G review.)
Apart from the Moto E, Motorola is also said to be working on a successor of the Moto X, called the Moto X+1 and a 6-inch phablet. (Here’s our Moto X review.)
